6. Cookies and similar technologies
Our store uses cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies. These may be used to:
- operate essential store functions, such as checkout, security, language and session management;
- remember your preferences;
- measure site performance and understand how visitors use the store; and
- support marketing, attribution and personalised advertising, where enabled.
Where required, non-essential cookies and similar technologies are used only after you give consent through our cookie settings. You may change or withdraw that consent at any time through the cookie-preference tool available on our website. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before your consent was withdrawn.
You can also manage cookies through your browser, although blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the store or checkout from working correctly. Shopify provides additional information about cookies used on its platform in its Cookie Policy.
7. Marketing communications
We may send you marketing communications when you have consented or when another lawful basis is available under applicable law. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link in a marketing email or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop service messages relating to your orders, account, security or legal notices.
8. How we disclose personal data
We may disclose personal data only as reasonably necessary to:
- Shopify and store-technology providers that host and operate our online store;
- payment providers, banks and fraud-prevention services that authorise transactions and protect against fraud;

We do not disclose personal data to third parties for their own unrelated purposes without a lawful basis.
9. Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes personal data to provide its commerce platform and may also process certain information for its own purposes as described in its privacy documentation. You can learn more in Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy.
10. International data transfers
Some service providers may process personal data outside Cyprus or the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred to a country that has not been recognised as providing an adequate level of protection, we use appropriate safeguards as required by law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with supplementary measures where necessary. You may contact us for further information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

Retention periods vary according to the type of data, the purpose of processing and applicable legal requirements. When personal data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it, unless continued retention is required by law.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your account credentials and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account or personal data.

To exercise a right, email contact@seravello.com. Please identify the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to locate your records. We may ask for reasonable proof of identity before responding. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and will explain if an exception applies. Exercising your rights is generally free of charge, although the law may permit a reasonable fee or refusal for manifestly unfounded or excessive requests.
14. Automated decision-making and fraud prevention
We and our service providers may use automated signals to assess transaction, account or security risk. This may result in an order being held for verification, declined or cancelled where there is a reasonable fraud or security concern. Where applicable law gives you rights in relation to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects, you may request human intervention, express your point of view and contest the decision by contacting us.
15. Children
Our store is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
16. Third-party links
Our store may contain links to third-party websites, apps or social-media services. We are not responsible for their privacy or security practices. Please review the privacy policy of any third-party service before providing personal data.
17. Regional privacy choices
Residents of certain jurisdictions may have additional privacy rights, including rights relating to targeted advertising or certain disclosures of personal data. Where relevant to you, you may submit a request by contacting us. If our store makes a dedicated privacy opt-out page available for your region, you may also use the data-sharing opt-out page. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
18. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we process personal data, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in Cyprus:

If you live elsewhere in the European Economic Area, you may also complain to the data-protection authority in your country of habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
19. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our practices, services or legal obligations. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent.
